Chip Shop Curry Sauce


  • Shallots finely chopped
  • Carrots finely chopped
  • 2/3 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 Medium/Hot Curry Powder
  • Teaspoon of Turmeric Powder
  • Chicken Stock/ Vegetable Stock
  • Tablespoon of Flour
  • Creamed Coconut


  1. Lightly fry Garlic, shallots, and carrots together
  2. Once onions and carrots are cooked, put the spices ( Curry and Turmeric) until fragrant
  3. Add the stock to the pan, let boil up for a few minutes
  4. Once bubbling, add the flour and constantly stir add more stock if necessary
  5. Allow the sauce to thicken and add a few tablespoons of creamed coconut (for 2 mins)
  6. You are now all done! if you want a smooth curry sauce, add the sauce to a blender and blitz until smooth
  7. Enjoy with yummy chips 🙂
